Jamie Foxx, 55, remains hospitalized as his medical condition remains undisclosed

Actor Jamie Foxx55, has been hospitalized for nearly a week following a medical complication that occurred while filming his upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action in Atlanta.

The actor is currently receiving care and undergoing tests at a medical facility in Georgia.

Jamie’s family has been open about his health scare but has not provided any specific details regarding his condition.

The singer’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, 29, first alerted fans about her father's health issue with a solemn statement on social media last Wednesday.

Corinne wrote: "We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery."

She also expressed her appreciation for fans' prayers and requested privacy for the family during this time.

Although the nature of Jamie's condition remains undisclosed, according to TMZ it was serious enough to warrant hospitalization.

As reported by CNN on Friday, tests are being conducted to determine the cause of the health scare, and Foxx is still under observation at the hospital.

According to the publication, they are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened.

While his condition appears to be improving, there is no information yet on when he will be discharged from the hospital or when he can resume filming.

Back in Action stars Cameron Diaz, who Jamie helped coax out of retirement, and Glenn Close. Diaz plans to retire for good after the completion of the film, which has faced a series of setbacks on set.

Jamie’s family has traveled from out of town to be with him during his hospitalization. According to TMZ, he's communicating now, suggesting that there may have been a period when he was unable to communicate due to the medical emergency.

Jamie hares his daughter Corinne with ex-girlfriend Connie Kline and has a 13-year-old daughter, Annalise, with Kristin Grannis.

The filming of  Back in Action in Atlanta has been a challenging experience for the Baby Driver actor and his co-workers.

Last month, reports surfaced that Foxx had a meltdown during the film's shoot in the UK, leading to the dismissal of several staff members, including an executive producer, two directors, and his own driver.

Further drama unfolded when an unexploded WWII-era bomb was found on the London set, causing a temporary halt in production.
